Dr Seuss Books Review

Dr Seuss famous for his hilarious rhymes that are sometimes deceptively nonsensical but actually teach children rhyming patterns that are easy for them to read. If you’ve read any of his books, you’ll sometimes wonder where the book starts and where it ends but one thing is sure, he is a genius when it comes to entertaining children and his books leave the children in fits of giggles and laughter and also with a great many questions. We were sent two books – The Cat in the Hat (an old favourite) and – One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue …

Reviewing one of my favourite poems – The Owl and the Pussycat

I have always liked poetry. I write quite a few poems myself and I am most happy to see that my daughter at 10, is already showing signs of writing some pretty good verse. 🙂 One poem that has always amused me and that I like is The Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear. I can see that I am not alone in this as it was voted the the most popular childhood poem. It is a ‘nonsense poem’ meaning that it does not make complete sense and indeed it does not have to because it is entertaining and …

I tried Grammarly’s online plagiarism checker free of charge because copycats do not get enough exercise for their brains.  I am an avid book lover and never say no to reviewing books, more so if it’s for the children as they love books too. We recently wrote about how much we enjoyed the Olly, the Little White Van DVD. This time we were thrilled to get a series of Olly Books. We were sent 4 board books, 2 paperback books and 2 activity books – all related to the popular television series Olly the Little White Van. What we liked about the …

Anagranimals Book Review and Giveaway

Tomorrow begins National Children’s Book week and it is a great week to encourage children to read more. I love books and so do the children.
