Creaturepedia by Adrienne Barman – A Review

We love reading here in our home. And though fairy tales and fiction are read quite a bit, we also love non fiction and factual books. We were sent Creaturepedia by Adrienne Barman for review and the children and I have been enjoying turning it’s pages together. Survival of the fittest – that’s the law of the jungle but thankfully evolution has ensured that even the weaker animals have been provided with skills and natural features that make it possible for them to survive. Creaturepedia is a book that classifies different animals that have the same skill or feature. It …

Adventures of the Steampunk Pirates: Attack of the Giant Spiders – Book Review

I am trying to get Ethan to read more chapter books and this was just what he needed – The Adventures of the Steampunk Pirates – Attack of the Giant Spiders. The Butterfly Club by Jacqueline Wilson – Book Review

Jadyn is a huge Jacqueline Wilson fans and has read most of her books. She loves reading and I like encouraging this as I believe that reading is a fantastic pastime/hobby/interest. While I do have a Kindle and reader apps on my phone and devices, I always encourage the children to read books. I think the printed versions are so much more interesting. We were recently invited to review the new Jacqueline Wilson book – The Butterfly Club. It is the author’s 101st book. (Wow!!) Tina is a triplet, but she’s always been the odd one out. Her sisters Phil …
