The very first episode of the Clangers went live in 1969. Wow! That’s a long time ago.
It’s no surprise that many mums and grandmas are excited to acquaint their children and grandchildren with the series.
For those who are not familiar with Clangers, they are knitted mouse-like creatures who live on a small planet that resembles the moon. They don’t speak but whistle and they eat green soup and blue string pudding.
Now obviously for a series that is so loved, you need to be sitting and watching it with you very own Clanger. Character has once again come to our rescue and brought out a range of toys. Now when you watch Clangers on telly, you could be having Small or Mother Clanger.
We were sent a couple from the range along with some magic stars to help us on our journey. These stars are quite amazing – they magically bring about good behviour. 🙂
One is a small plush that is perfect for little ones. Priced at £5.99, this is a toy that you can give as a gift or it can even be bought by the child himself with pocket money.
Major Clanger has a soft, plush body. It resembles the Clangers on telly annd has string fingers and a long snout. It has beady eyes and is rather adorable.
We also received a collectible figure – Iron Chicken. The kids think this is a hilarious name and love the fact that the wings move and it can pose. Priced at £4.99, there are other Clangers in the range like Mother Clanger and Tiny, Major and Soup Dragon.

This is one of my favourites – Musical Starlight Tiny which plays music and reflects starlights on the ceiling. It is priced at £24.99
There is also the Home Planet Playset which lets children recreate the Clangers stories, and is priced at £24.99
I can’t wait to receive the other Clangers toys for a play. The kids will be thrilled.
