Dough Balls, Calamari and Fun…at Pizza Express

It’s no secret that we are huge fans of Pizza Express. We were recently invited by Pizza Express and Mumsnet to try out the new Piccolo menu and what better time than the summer holidays to do so. We headed off to Pizza Express and we have some favourites that we ALWAYS order namely the dough balls and the calamari so we knew this was sorted. We were greeted by the friendly staff and handed some Menus, Piccolo Menus and Activity sheets for the children. We decided to try the Cucumber Mint Presse and the Watermelon Cooler which were perfect …

T.G.I.Friday’s – A Review

We enjoy eating out as a family and when we were asked to visit a T.G.I. Friday’s restaurant as part of a Mother’s Day campaign, the children were quite thrilled. We have been to TGIF before and the kids (older two) love the Coke floats there. (I do too!!) We didn’t make a reservation but were shown to a table immediately. It was a Saturday evening and we had visited the Kingston restaurant which is normally quite busy. It did get busy later though. The children were of course quite happy to wait to be served as there were these …

Zizzi’s and Crayola – A Perfect Combination

As part of my role as an Official Crayola Blog Partner, I was invited to Zizzi with the family for a meal. I like restaurants that are child friendly and the children normally look out for a pack of colour pencils or crayons and colouring sheets as quite a few restaurants cater to this. However, I am always careful that some of these crayons may transfer onto their hands and end up in their mouths. In Zizzi, I didn’t have this problem. Zizzi has recently gone into collaboration with Crayola so now while you wait with the kids to be …

Jacintaz3 at Kitchin N1

I have always loved a buffet. Not so much because it’s eat all you want as I do not have a large appetite but because of the different dishes that are on offer. When I was provided with a n opportunity to review Kitchin N1, I was looking forward to visiting and taking my children. Besides after checking out the website and what was on offer, I knew the children would also find something that they liked. Kitchin N1 is a stones throw from Kings cross station so it is very convenient if you are travelling or passing through. The …

Fine Indian Dining:Khyber Restaurant – Review

About 10 days back I travelled to Croydon to review Khyber, a gourmet Indian restaurant on the High Street. While we often cook Indian food at home, it is nice to go out for an Indian meal. The restaurant was welcoming and the ambience was great. We started off with having some Papadums with various dips/chutneys and the children really enjoyed them. We ordered fruit juices for drinks and I also had a lassi (yogurt drink) which was very refreshing. For starters, Hubs and I had Trio of Chicken (£ 4.95) and this was quite delicious with the chicken soft …

Eating out in London: Chino Latino review

A few days ago we headed over to Chino Latino in London for a delicious family meal. We were mainly invited to try out the Kids menu and we have to say that we were totally impressed by both the service and the food. On entering we were served drinks and we all opted for fruit juices. I had lychee and the children had mango while Hubs settled for Lemonade. (It was the afternoon!)  As part of the Kids eat free offer – a child under 12 can eat free with a one full paying adult dining from the a …
