Get the perfect Christmas look for your home with Tesco

This year, the children were after a bigger tree for Christmas and I had promised them they could have one. When I went to the Ideal Home Show, I saw the tree that I wanted in the Tesco Direct Stand. It was this Alaskan Flocked Christmas tree that looked gorgeous with berry lights. I knew immediately that I had to have it. The Alaskan Flocked tree is a 6 ft tree and has a lovely snow like effect on it. It is gorgeous and bushy and looks really nice when decorated. It comes in three parts and it is easy …

Christmas shop in my children’s school – a lovely tradition

I think the nicest thing about Christmas is Christmas traditions. We have a few in our home but I love the one that the children have in their school. Every year, the school’s PTA holds a little Christmas shop. What this involves is that children can take a bit of money and shop for presents for their family and friends. The presents are already wrapped, with one of each product on view so one can see what they are buying. It is wonderful to see the children get so excited about shopping for things and coming back with presents they …

Review: Hotel Chocolat Festive Wreath Review

Christmas isn’t Christmas without chocolate. Who doesn’t like receiving chocolate? Chocolate would be welcome at any time but at Christmas it is extra special. I needed some stocking fillers and I needed a few other knick-knacks to use …

Are you responsible for the drowning of a baby reindeer? Read on to find out…

Is your house decorated yet? Are the outdoor lights on? Did you decorate before Thanksgiving? Well, you are probably responsible for the drowning of a baby reindeer!! My children just can’t wait to put up the tree and the lights. I know that when I was young, we would always put up the trees and decorations around the 15th of December when the schools closed for the holidays. Now, however the schools close only around the 20th so I guess it leaves little time to get everything set for the big day. Although, I still put up the decorations around …

BritMums Christmas Networking Event

On Monday,  it definitely felt like Christmas at the Britmums Christmas networking event sponsored by Morrisons. The moment I received the email about the event, I signed up and printed out my ticket. I know how fast tickets like this would go. I was pretty excited about the event as I knew a few bloggers who were going too and I was looking forward to meeting some bloggers with whom I had connnected with on Twitter and Facebook and wanted to meet in real life. I figured that since this was a smaller group, I would be able to catch …
