Hairdorables Shortcuts Review

by

Aeryn has been looking at these Hairdorables series of dolls for some time now. And I can’t blame her because the packaging itself looks so sweet. How much fun then, when we were invited to collaborate with the brand and feature them on our social channels.   We went to Walmart to pick up one of these dolls. That was half the fun. She had a tough time deciding which one to bring home. The Hairorables Shortcuts surprise dolls come in packaging that resembles shampoo bottles and is difficult to miss when you are shopping. There are 8 surprises to open …

Elves Choice 2019

Elves' Choice

Welcome back. I took a little hiatus from this last year. There was too much going on with the move etc. But this year seems the perfect year to get the elves working again. I’m sure they’ll be choosing well and I’ll be featuring all the things they think would make great gifts. Some of them will be tried and tested by us. Others – what we think would be perfect for Santa’s list just by reading about them or seeing them while we are out and about in sunny LA (or browsing the internet as the case may be). …

Dear Santa…Our Wishlist from Debenhams

by

I was asked to put together a Christmas Wishlist for the children from the Debenhams Toy range. So, I asked the children to get together and choose some things they would like and write a letter to Santa. Here’s what they said… Dear Santa, We have been very good this year (you can check with Mummy – she always tells us how much she loves us) and we would be really happy if we could have these presents for Christmas. They are quite a few on the list but if you can’t get us all, one from each one’s list …

Hot Wheels Super Loop Track Set – Review

by

There’s something about dinky cars that can always catch a boy’s attention. Ethan is no exception. He loves Hot Wheels. When we were sent this lovely hot wheels super loop play set, he couldn’t wait to get playing. I was quite impressed with the set up instructions. Everything was perfectly explained and the pieces were conveniently numbered so they fit into each other. When assembled it is an amazing 3 feet tall race track with loops to boot. It does have to be attached to the wall though so you need to have wall space. For us that was a …

Half Shell Heroes – The New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Range

by

My two younger ones are Ninja Turtle Mad. Ethan obviously is most taken by them and Aeryn following in his footsteps likes to play at pretending to be one. 🙂 Now, it was no surprise that they just loved this delivery. We were sent Half Shell Heroes baubles and Christmas cards for them and they were delighted. The bauble had a little Half Shell Hero in it. Ethan had Raphael, his favourite and Aeryn had April, so she was very happy too. In fact, Ethan was really happy as we had been to a recent Christmas party and he had …

by

Yes there are going to be an overload of Christmas posts. It’s a wonderful time of year and there is so much to write about – food, presents, good cheer, celebrating, family, decorations and lights. Christmas lights are special. In fact, as you may know, it is a big thing – the switching on of Christmas lights. In every town there are special celebrations for the first time in the year that these are switched on. The lights make many a town magical places to be. In our home, the lights are also a big thing – lights on the …
