Ever since we received this
the kids have been speaking of nothing else.
Firstly, because we love the Cabbage Patch Kids and secondly, because who would not be excited at going to a birthday party at Hamleys?
Well the day finally came, it was a gorgeous sunny morning and we had decided to leave early so that we would not get caught up in Central London traffic. We made it in record time to the car park nearest to Hamleys and were quite shocked at the prices £15 for 2 hours and £28 for 4 hours. But then I guess it is Central London!!
Anyway, since we were already there and didn’t want to be late, we parked and walked to Hamleys. It was the first time we were visiting Hamleys so the excitement was even greater. While we waited outside for the store to open, the children peered in and just could not wait for it to open.
And then….
The doors opened and we were greeted by this
The Cabbage Patch characters and the Norton and Co. Team.
After being divided into groups the children played a few party games like ‘Simon Says’, ‘Duck Duck, Goose’ and Musical Statues. Jadyn and Ethan didn’t win anything and they were a bit disappointed as who can resist a Cabbage Patch Kid?
Thankfully, they were distracted by getting their faces painted. Jadyn was a flower fairy and Ethan a tiger. They also enjoyed the magic show.
Aeryn was a bit tired and of course she wanted every toy in the store but her favourite ones were the Cabbage Patch kids. They are my favourite too and I don’t mind having one of my own!!
And then obviously, a birthday party needs a birthday cake!!
Since the store only opened at 12 noon, we had full run of the store till then and that was something.
Each child was given a party bag and the kids are so pleased with their little cabbage patch favours. They are really cute, I almost want one myself.
A big thank you to Corinna and Norton and Company for the wonderful morning.
