by

I don’t know if you were following our #AnnieMovieParty on Twitter yesterday but if you were you know that we really enjoyed the film. We were sent a few goodies to enjoy the film with and Sandy was by far the most popular. Annie is probably familiar in most households with most people having seen the version that came out in 1982 (wow, was it that long ago?) I remember seeing it with my family and I loved it. I watched it again with the children on DVD. When I knew that there was a remake, I couldn’t wait to …

Review: Rockford’s Rock Opera

by

I had heard of Rockford’s Rock Opera and was really glad to have an opportunity to review it with the children. Rockford’s Rock Opera  is about a boy from Battersea called Moog and his Dog, Rockford. It was first launched in 2009 on the web as an enhanced audio book which combined pictures, animation, songs and dialogue to give the story a unique format and delivery. Throughout 2009 Rockford’s Rock Opera built a loyal fan base among children, families and schools (so much so that lesson plans were created around the story). Then, in 2012 the project’s creators, husband and …

by

This past half term there were quite a few activities lined up. Of course, on the 31st, we had to celebrate Halloween. Since we had decorated the house and the children demanded a spooky dinner, we also decided to sit down and watch the new Scooby-Doo movie – The Mystery Map! We are all familiar with Scooby-Doo but this was slightly different. This was in a puppet format and was pretty nice. I am not a big fan of Scooby-Doo but the children love the programme, so they were pretty excited to receive the DVD. Synopsis: Scooby-Doo! Adventures The Mystery …
