When I was sent some loads of water to review, I didn’t really know how to respond. I mean water is water, isn’t it? But then, there’s AQUA Carpatica.
As mentioned I was sent loads of bottled water – in different capacities and different bottles too. This picture is just a sample of each type of bottle.
In no time, I found that the family was drinking more water (always a good thing) and we loved the taste.
We normally drink filtered water at home but it was great to be able to have water handy any time we felt like it. It was also ideal to take along with us on our days out. With so many sizes available, we could take just what we required.
So what makes AQUA Carpatica different?
It naturally contains electrolytes and minerals, including Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium which are vital for hydration during pregnancy and also key to foetal development.
Naturally Nitrate-free water is particularly important for pregnant women as Nitrates are harmful to our health. Babies are most vulnerable to this because their micro-bacterial flora has not yet developed.
Nitrates are found in nature and used in agriculture, they are colourless, odourless and tasteless, but in large quantities, they can be harmful to human health.
In many European countries, legislation ensures that Nitrate (NO3) content in bottled water does not exceed 50mg per litre for adults, while for new born babies and pregnant women any more than 10mg per litre can be dangerous. AQUA Carpatica is the solution with a naturally Nitrate-free water.
Every drop of the water is derived from two untouched springs deep within the pristine and beautiful Carpathian Mountains, which are home to the last remaining unspoilt forests in Europe. With no agriculture or industrial activity in the surrounding areas, AQUA Carpatica’s source is protected from chemicals, fertilizers, CFCs and other contaminants providing consumers with a healthier alternative and more transparent label.
AQUA Carpatica’s Naturally Sparkling Mineral Water is naturally carbonated by a unique geological volcanic structure and filtered by nature for 40 years, whilst it’s Still Natural Mineral Water is has an underground journey of 15 years. At no stage do humans interfere with or process the water, meaning that it is impeccably pure and free from all contaminants. It is a naturally pure water, just as nature intended.
Every litre of Naturally Sparkling Mineral Water provides Potassium, nearly 24 per cent of an adult’s recommended daily requirement of Calcium and 16 per cent of Magnesium. AQUA Carpatica’s Still Natural Mineral Water contains natural electrolytes and has a low content of minerals with an alkaline pH level of 7.
AQUA Carpatica is available in glass or a clear BPA (Bisphenol A) free bottle design and is 100% recyclable. We love the squarish shape of the bottles as they look so stylish.
With it being nitrate free and having a low sodium and mineral content as well as being packaged in stylish BPA free bottles, AQUA Carpatica is our number 1 choice for bottled water. Also, the children like it so much that they have been drinking their recommended daily amount without reminders.
AQUA Carpatica is available throughout the UK and Ireland at Ocado, Amazon, Harrods, Whole Foods Market, As Nature Intended, Fresh Supermarket (Dublin) and over 300 independent outlets throughout the UK:

Disclosure : I was sent bottled water for an honest review. All ideas and opinions are my own.

I like the packaging of the bottles. Drinking plenty of water is always good. I can’t say no to water.
We LOVE the packaging. They look so cool when you’re out and about.
It is great that the water contains electrolytes and magnesium and other minerals needed to maintain brain function. It looks refreshing x
It is quite refreshing and the low sodium makes it perfect for pregnant mums and babies.
This sounds really good and I love the fancy bottles! Anything to encourage us to drink more water has to be a good thing x
Aren’t the bottles stylish? We love them.
I hadn’t heard of this brand before but it looks refreshing and I like the design. I need to drink more water.
I had never heard of the brand too. But since tasting it, we are spoilt and can’t think of drinking any others.
Drinking water is so important and not many people understand that. I have never heard of this brand before but I will try it.
I’m sure you’ll love it.
The square bottle definitely makes it stand out as unique. I really should drink more water but I don’t like the taste of it in our new house (perhaps I’m imagining it!)
AQUA Carpatica would be great for you. It tastes really good.
I agree water is water but when it encourages families to drink more and has benefits outside the norm then its even better. I am someone who loves flavoured water more than normal water.
My children also love flavoured water at times.
I have not heard of Aqua Carpatica before, I am lucky my children drink lots of water and we always buy bottles on days out x
