Seriously Good Sauces from Heinz

We always have some Heinz sauce at home, definitely ketchup being one and mayonnaise too. This time round, we were introduced to some Seriously Good sauces from Heinz and I’m sure they’ll soon be a part of our must have sauce collection. Heinz Seriously Good sauces come in the following flavours – Creamy Chive Sauce, zingy and creamy with potatoes! Creamy Pepper Sauce, creamy and warming with steak! At the Tefal ActiFry Big Reveal #SlimmersSecret

A few weeks ago, I headed off to London to attend another exciting event hosted by former TOWIE star Frankie Essex to introduce us to their new ActiFry as part of the #SlimmersSecret Campaign.   I have a love for all things Tefal as you must know so I was delighted to be a part of yet another of their launches. A group of bloggers were invited for the big reveal of their new Tefal ActiFry – the Express models as well as the Smart XL. The Smart XL, has bluetooth connectivity that connects to an App from where you …

Taking the ‘Blue’ from Blue Monday with Tesco Takeaway Pizzas

The 16th of January was called Blue Monday. It is officially ‘celebrated’ as being the most depressing day of the year as we say goodbye to Christmas, the New Year and the ability to binge of rich food and treats. It’s also still winter and the days are dreary and cold. We were given an opportunity to ‘celebrate’ Blue Monday and make it a day of fun rather than despair, with Tesco. Besides being sent a lovely hamper of goodies – games and a blanket, to have fun, we were also sent vouchers to try out the all new sharing …

Ciao Gusto brings together 30 Italian brands at Ocado

I LOVE Italian food. My favourite is seafood pasta. And Panna Cotta. The children also enjoy Italian food although they tend to associate Italian cuisine only with pasta. Little do they realise that their firm favourite – Pizza, is very much Italian. The pizzas in Italy are a whole different ball game to the fast food ones here though. There’s so much variety there. Anyway, coming back to the reason for this post. How do you buy your Italian cooking ingredients? When I order a shop online, I have to flit from aisle to aisle to find all I need …

#AsdaSS16 Food Showcase

Two weeks ago,  I was invited to the Asda SS16 food showcase. On entering, I was pleasantly surprised to start the day on steak. Yes, I never knew I would enjoy steak so much at 10 am. It was so deliciously cooked and accompanied by some scrumptious sauces that I could have sat down and had a meal right there. There is a huge range that will be on sale come Spring and summer and I especially look forward to their new ready picnic/barbecue range and the cakes to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. I tasted some of the eclairs with …

Oriental Baked Salmon Recipe

I know we should be eating more fish  – it’s so healthy. The benefit of Omega3 and cognitive development make fish important to our diet. We tend to do a fish dish on the weekend and we try out different recipes but I am hoping to incorporate more fish into our diet. The children love salmon and this was something we tried out this week. It was fragrant and succulent and delicious. Here’s what you will need to make Jacinta’s Oriental Baked Salmon 1 kg Salmon fillet 2 stems lemon grass 1 inch ginger julienned 4 garlic cloves finely sliced …

White Chocolate and Blueberry Pancakes :Clarks Pancake Challenge – #MapleVLemon

Tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday, sometimes better known as Pancake Day. It’s the day before Ash Wednesday (the beginning of Lent) when people ate rich foods before embarking on a season of fasting. We love pancakes in our home and Pancake Day and the run up to it, is the perfect time to indulge in making and eating Pancakes – lots of them. The children never seem to grown tired of eating them and I am happy to oblige and make them as they are ever so easy to make and the ingredients are always readily available in the food cupboard. …
